Yosi Nahon, a leading partner in the establishment of DAND (North) Ltd., was employed by the Iscar company for 15 years in the positions of marketing executive, technical advisor, and product manager.

After acquiring extensive market knowledge from a broad range of companies, Yosi identified an unexploited business opportunity in the market for a specialized subcontractor in the medical field.

DAND (North) was established in January of 2006 by Yosi Nahon, Dr.Arni Ori, and the DAND Metal Industries company. The company established itself in the Tefen Industrial Park in 2007 with 4 employees, 2 machines and space of just 250 sqm.

The company’s goal was to provide subcontracting services for the precise CNC manufacture of components for the medical industry, with a specialization in the dental field.

The company manufactures technologically complex parts, combining both milling and turning operations, using a variety of metals and other materials, while producing both large and small batches for customers worldwide. The company’s mission was to manufacture with no compromise in excellence or quality, a decision that created an advantage for the company that has enabled a steady, yearly growth of 30%.

Today, to allow for future expansion, the company is enlarging its facility to 2,000 sqm.

DAND (North) employs 31 workers, operates 22 Swiss Type CNC machines and has yearly sales of over $4 million. The company’s products are sold worldwide, whereby 90% is for the dental market.

The company is presently developing its own product line and is looking to expand into the medical trauma field and Asian markets.
