Tagra, of the Efal group, was the first and only company in the market to produce using micro-capsulation with “immediate release” technology. The company manufactures and supplies ingredients and raw materials for the majority of the multinational companies in the fields of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
The company was founded in 1998 as a research and technological development company in the Teradion Technological Incubator in Misgav. Within a few years, it became necessary to build a production plant and advanced laboratory for commercial production. In 2007 the company moved to the Tel Hai Industrial Park, where two production lines were built at a cost of $ 6 million. The company has sales worth several million dollars and some 100 customers in 20 countries.
The company currently employs about 50 workers, some of the students from the neighboring Tel-Hai College, employed in the development, manufacturing,
and marketing of over 40 products that incorporate the micro-encapsulation
technology unique to the company.
